Interim Management has Come of Age–Financial Times

I came across this on FT.com.

The view, from Interim Management provider, Alium Partner’s Mike Hollin, is that the world of Interim Management has moved beyond simply being a temporary back-fill resource to one where interim managers are hired to augment an existing management team and provide specific skills and experience over the short to mid-term.  Examples include project management, change management, driving efficiency, M&A etc.  Far-sighted client companies have long known this but it is great to see that being more widely recognised.

Of course, the perspective is perfectly aligned to the ascendancies of both the Sovereign Professional/portfolio careerist and the lean and agile Unfettered Organisation.
